Licenses and laws
Most states require beauty graduates to pass an exam and earn a license in order to practice the profession. States also have varying rules on the amount of training that beauty professionals must have, and on how your training and experience in one state can be applied toward a license in another state.
State agencies may be able to give you information on a school you're interested in, such as how many of the school's graduates have gone on to beauty jobs.
